The Raanjhanaa director has started filming for the sequel of his 2011 hit, Tanu Weds Manu
Tamil superstar Dhanush is all set to rock the audience with his second outing in Bollywood with R Balki’s Shamitabh. But the lanky actor seems to have not forgotten his first mentor in Bollywood, Anand L Rai, who gave him the big break with Raanjhanaa. As Anand Rai geared up for the first day of shoot of Tanu Weds Manu 2, Dhanush made it a point to wish him best luck.
The Kolaveri Di singer tweeted,” My best wishes to Anand l rai on his first day shoot of tanu weds manu 2 :) har har mahadev”. There have been speculations in the past that Dhanush may be seen doing a small cameo in the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu. Recently, Anand L Rai also confirmed that Dhanush might be doing a song in the sequel. “I cannot say at this point whether he will play a cameo or be part of a song but whatever he does will leave an impact. I am working towards it but I think a song will do justice to Dhanush,” Anand L Rai had said.
Tanu Weds Manu 2 brings together the crackling pair of R Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut, after the stupendous success of its predecessor. With Dhanush’s speculated inclusion in a song, it would be interesting to see if Anand Rai utilises the Raanjhanaa actor and makes him croon in Hindi.
