Is the rivalry between Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone over ? Well if Kat’s recent interview is anything to go by then it definitely seems that things are thawing between these two B-town competitors.
In an interview to a leading daily Katrina said, “I am among the first people to say that if a person’s success — performance-wise or box office-based — has been acknowledged by a critic or audiences, he/she definitely deserves it. If a person is having four releases in a year and is doing well, she absolutely deserves to be lauded. I have gone through this. Earlier such talks — the number game — would happen vis-Ã -vis Kareena and me. Such a thing is temporary, and is based on the work you deliver, year after year. Sometimes your film may get delayed, sometimes it might not perform or someone else might perform better than you. That’s the industry rule.”
What is interesting is the fact that this is the first time Katrina has openly complimented Deepika in public. In the past whenever she was asked anything about the Happy New Year actress, she evaded or avoided the question. However, it seems that there is no denying Deepika’s stay at the top of her game, given the fact that even her rival has given her due credit.
Is everything hunky dory between Katrina and Deepika or is this just mere posturing for the media?
