One Pound Fish man plans to release his new album in India
Remember the catchy lyrics ‘come on, ladies, come on ladies, one pound fish’ almost each one of us used to hum two years back? Yes, we are referring to the fishmonger turned YouTube sensation Shahid Nazir who turned one pound worth of fish into a viral pop that got people everywhere tapping their feet to the beat. That One Pound Fish man has recently left for a tour to India apparently for the preparation and release of his new album.
Nazir even posted a photo on his twitter feed to confirm the speculations.
Reportedly, the purpose of the visit to India is for the launch of his album, and once the album is prepared, the artist will also sign a contract for its release. Furthermore, the 32-year-old will also be recording a soundtrack for an upcoming Bollywood movie while he is there. The trip which is supposedly going to be 20 days long will also see Nazir going to various places in India including Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Agra and Ajmer Sharif where he will mesmerize the audiences and make Pakistan proud.
Following the You Tube popularity, Nazir was approached by Warner Music to record a’ techno-infused version’ of his now-famous song. He also made a music to accompany the new track — a Bollywood-style clip that features a number of racily-clad dancers.
Nazir has since been featured on TV shows, such as Anderson Cooper’s Anderson Live and his story has been covered by news agencies including the Associated Press, Al-Jazeera, CBS and AFP.
