The Haider actor’s performance in the Shakespeare movie has left everyone spellbound
Shahid Kapoor’s performance in the Indian adaptation of Hamlet has won his accolades from his peers in the industry. But that’s not all; noted Indian author of British decent – Ruskin Bond has been going gaga over the actor’s work in Haider.
In a recent interview Ruskin Bond stated that he would like Shahid to play his character onscreen if a biopic was ever made on him. When Shahid heard about Ruskin’s declaration he was thrilled. He is a fan of Ruskin Bond and his very famous book character Rusty. The author is known to for his lighthearted creations.
Shahid was very happy and honored by Ruskin’s thoughts of him and claimed that he would love to play his character. The spokesperson confirms the news and adds, “Shahid was overwhelmed when he heard about what Ruskin Bond had said. For him it is an honour to be chosen by such a veteran writer. Shahid would like to thank him on considering him to play such a well known character.”
Well looks like Shahid’s versatile and splendid acting skills has definitely won him some brownie points.
