After SLAM! The Tour, the Happy New Year team is all set to go on a multi-city tour with Zee TV’s upcoming dance reality show
The Happy New Year team including Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah (Deepika Padukone was absent due to health issues) recently launched Zee TV’s newest dance reality show, Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale. While BollywoodLife has given you all the details of the show, what happened at the event is a different story altogether. And believe you me, this was much more fun than the actual subject of the event.
Taking it one celeb at a time, here’s what went on, on the stage…
Shah Rukh Khan’s humble sarcasm:
Polite as he was in his mannerisms, the moment he opens his mouth, you know he isn’t the person to mess around with. His replies just kept sending bouts of laughter through the audience. When asked what his target was after 6 and 8 pack abs, he very musically answered “Sada tumne aeb dekha, hunar toh na dekha”. But the highlight of the event was when a member from the press asked Abhishek as to why he gets feminine dance moves to do in all his movies. Mr Khan came to Abhi’s rescue and called the journalist on stage to perform the step pretending not to understand the mentioned step. Well the actor really knows how to handle weirdos. Good for him!
The cute, naughty side of Abhishek Bachchan:
There’s just one word that describes Abhi on stage, entertaining. Actually we’d like to go with two… truly entertaining. He looked like a 4-year-old who is forced to sit in one place while he wants to keep wandering about the place. Abhishek kept fidgeting with something or the other throughout the event- his collar, the chair, his watch, is collar, hair. And in between all his fidgetiness, he would very sweetly whisper something into Farah’s ears, again reminding us of the same child who resorts to troubling his mother. It was like he had his own party going.
Ring Master Farah Khan:
The lady really kept up the team spirit even off the sets. Whenever a common question was asked, everyone would look at her to takeover. Even while answering, everyone would look at Farah once, probably as a reassurance that they are on the right track.
Boman Irani- the quiet spectator:
Boman is one of those who let their work do the talking. But whatever little he did say was very engaging. Once in a while he’d give that oh-i-know-what’s-gonna-happen-now kind of a smile. When a journalist asked Abhi the feminine dance step question or when Vivaan was asked to moon walk.
Vivaan’s Shah-yness:
Being the youngest and newest of the lot has its pros and cons. While you can sit quietly without attracting too much attention (for the wrong), you can also be the victim of a lot of bullying. When Vivaan took the mike, Abhi forced his Walk-n-Talk mantra on Vivaan which he obligingly followed. Poor guy even did the moon walk while he was still talking. It was hilarious!
Sonu Sood- guarded or cluesless:
Sonu seemed clueless for the most part. He wouldn’t involve himself until he was directly addressed. By his expression he could well be thinking ‘ok so I’ve acted in the film, I’ve been around the world dancing, now what more? Haven’t I been through enough?’
