Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif’s cold war goes way back, as we all know. The two aren’t the best of friends but are still known to be cordial. We however feel that the cordiality is more one sided than mutual, and often is displayed by Deepika rather than Katrina. Where Dippy has been upfront about her emotions regarding the Dhoom babe, the latter hasn’t responded the same way. And why do we say that? “Happy birthday Katrina. Lots of love and hope you have the bestest year ever! :) ” read one of Dippy’s tweets on her account which managed to create tremendous buzz. This particular tweet was interesting from many angles. Firstly, Dippy wished Kat on Twitter, knowing fully well that the latter doesn’t have an account. Secondly, with a public birthday wish like that, we bet Dippy knew that it would be much talked about and it was indeed. Lastly, having taken to Twitter, we believe Dippy wanted to show all that there’s no animosity in her heart and hatchets can be buried between the two someday.
All praises
Deepika has never shied away from openly singing praises for Kat. The beauty was recently seen complimenting Kat for her stint in Dhoom 3 during an interaction.” I think Katrina is one of the most hardworking persons I have ever met. Kat on the other hand is known to be a private person and hasn’t been seen complimenting Deepika the same way. The one time Kat spoke about Dippy was when asked about her take on the infamous cleavage controversy.”I do think that anything trying to exploit or show something in an unpleasant manner, or make a spectacle of it is not necessary. I think it is avoidable,” she said.
The warm hug that wasn’t so warm
Dippy and Kat had shared one stage during the IPL opening ceremony last year. Our little birdies had informed us that Shah Rukh Khan had reportedly flown the two beauties in separate chartered flights following their alleged animosity. But Dippy sure managed to make it look like it was all hunky dory. The actress was seen hugging Kat at the rehearsals. Where Dippy initiated the hug, the latter’s response to the same was reportedly cold and not that friendly. Ah, strike three!
Looking at all those signs above we guess Kat isn’t ready to let bygones be bygones. We think it’s time she let go!
