On November 4,1994, Rajkumar Santoshi’s cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna hit the screens. The film starring superstars Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and popular actresses Karisma Kapoor, Raveen Tandon, failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. But who would have thought, that years later it’s release, Andaz Apna Apna would achieve the cult classic status.
It’s been 20 years since the laugh riot had hit the screen, but the film is still very popular among the movie buffs thanks to it’s rib tickling comedy and barrage of iconic dialogues which never gets old with time. Do Dost Ek pyaale me chaai piyenge, isse dosti badti hai
Today, Aamir and Salman may be big stars. Though they are friends, it seems next to impossible to cast the two superstars together. But before the two achieved super stardom, Rajkumar Santoshi managed to bring Aamir and Salman together in Andaz Apna Apna. And this dialogue between the two Khan’s from the movie is like a salute to their off screen friendship too.
Yeh Teja Teja kya hai, yeh Teja Teja
Other than the Khan’s and the two lovely leading ladies, the film boasted numerous talented comedians like Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor. The scene from the film where two Paresh Rawal’s fight over on who is the real Teja, this dialogue from Shakti Kapoor’s Crime Master Gogo manages to crack you up.

This scene where our two heroes try to convince their lovers that they silenced their strict father by giving great counter arguments is outright hilarious.
Crime master gogo naam hai mera, aankhen nikal ke gotiyan khelta hu main
Out of all the characters in the film. it is Shakti Kapoor who walks away with best lines. How can one stifle a smile when every time Crime Master Gogo introduces himself as Mogambo’s nephew?
Bread ka badshah or omelette ka raja – Bajaj! Hamara Bajaj
Paresh Rawal’s Teja is one of the most memorable villains of our time. This dialogue where he parodies Bajaj motors when he reveals his plan to open a poultry farm and bakery is one of the best lines from the film.
Gogoji aapka ghagra
Another iconic dialogue from Andaz Apna Apna is when Aamir Khan utters these lines to Shakti Kapoor’s Crime Master Gogo, referring Gogo’s superhero cape as skirt.
Aap purush hi nahi … mahapurush hai!
Rajkumar Santoshi has a penchant for creating a chaotic but hilarious climaxes. In the laugh riot of a climax of Andaz Apna Apna, our heroes try to boost Gogo’s ego through these funny one-liners.
