Akshay Kumar-Shruti Haasan starrer Gabbar has run into legal troubles again. The film had previously run into trouble when the art director accused makers and quit the project. Also there was a lot of uncertainty over the release date, which became a talking point. Now we hear that workers on the film set have protested that their payments haven’t been cleared yet.
While speaking to a leading daily a source said, “Many workers including light men, spot boys and others have still not got their dues though the shoot of the film has almost been wrapped up. Many workers are still fighting for their payment. We have also spoken to the union about the same.” Grapevine has it that the payment for the last shooting schedule is yet pending for most of these people and there’s no action that’s been taken by the film’s makers.
The Allied Mazdoor Union, which generally is up about when any such complaints come have openly denied getting any reports from anyone. Now we don’t know whether the filmmakers are trying to cover up for saving themselves from legal issues.
