BollywoodLifers, we have something new and exciting for you this week!
We asked fashion designer Aniket Satam to give his expert opinion on celeb fashion!
Here is what Satam has to say about the stylish divas of the week…
Priyanka Chopra (wearing Gucci) - No one does power dressing as PC does. This ‘All black’ ensemble looks strong yet feminine and little lady like quotients like clutch, dainty earrings and strappy shoes neutralizes this androgynous formal avatar.
Sonakshi Sinha (wearing Pepedenims) - That’s like every lesbian fans dream to see Sonakshi in this grunge tom boy dressing. It compliments her guts to experiment with different styles and look. But when you get that stunning bob hair-cut please stick to sleek formal and preppy styles or at least do something with that bob. Its way too norm core for a red carpet appearance like that. Plus 90s, should go back and sleep in the trend cycle.
Kareena Kapoor Khan (wearing The Source and Minerali)- Her diva-liscous persona can bring life to any white ensemble and in this case she owns the dress. Camel pumps and chunk gold neck-piece punctuates the entire look. That punch of bling ascents accelerates some fun in this rather safe look.PS We all know that she endorses certain Dandruff free shampoo, but this head and shoulder sleek mid partition hairdo needs to go for next outing!
Parineeti Chopra (wearing Pankaj & Nidhi and Louboutins)- It was a great relief to see Ms Chopra in a separates instead of wearing the same old frock silhouettes, which she rocks always. The flared pleated crop trousers compliments her body type and so is the crop top.The only glitch is the girly wavy hair do. A structured ponytail sleek look would have made this ensemble more sharp. The two tone heels are fine in their place just a ring would have made those hands look less empty!
Madhuri Dixit Nene (wearing Manish Malhotra)- Lets say that such transparent pallu sarees should come with a warnings. Never been a tulle saree fan unless its the IT dengue-free look of machardani chic. It looks great but I prefer old school drapes if the blouse is that heavily adorned and personally think Mrs.Nene should explore more of the hand-loom route.
All you need to know about designer Aniket Satam:
Aniket’s chic ensembles are sported by celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor, Ileana Dcruz, Amrita Rao, Aditi Rao Hydari and Evelyn Sharma. For two years, he headed a leading designer’s studio as the creative director and communication consultant. In the fall of 2011, he launched his label ANIKET. Each Look under his label, is injected with fresh narration of neo Indian-ness in terms of fabric, textures and techniques, which flatters the jet setter of our times. Structure and off beat colors, forms the strong foundation of the brand ethos.
