Apart from being known for his Dabangg attitude, Salman Khan is one actor who is known to get cash registers jingling even if he isn’t acting in a film. Confused?
A lot of filmmakers in the past have managed to cash in on Salman Khan’s star power just by asking him to do a cameo or a dance sequence. Even if the film fails to work wonders at the box office, be sure that the masses will go to the cinema halls just to see Salman even if it’s for a few minutes. However, the dynamics have changed a bit recently. Well, Salman’s magic is still the same but filmmakers have found a new way to associate the Being Human star with their films. Either the male protagonists are die-hard fans of Bhai or they draw some reference from his hit films. And the latest flick to join the bandwagon is Arjun Kapoor’s Tevar.
the film co-starring Sonakshi Sinha, the Kapoor lad’s character is called Pintoo and he thinks of himself as a superman. That’s not all! For him, even Salman Khan is a superman and therefore he sings a song which goes as, ‘Main toh Superman, Salman ka fan.’ The song, we hear, has been shot in Agra and Arjun himself will unveil it on Bigg Boss 8 this weekend!
On the other hand, recently released Kill Dil had Ranveer Singh mouth one of Salman’s iconic dialogues from his hit film Maine Pyaar Kiya. While trying to impress Parineeti Chopra, the Bajirao Mastani actor says, ‘Guru Salman ne apni pehli film mein kaha tha friendship mein no sorry no thank you.’
Even a film like Haider, which is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, had a Salman touch. In fact, Vishal Bhardwaj’s revenge drama had two Salman Khans. In Shahid Kapoor starrer, there is a scene where two guys are seen sporting the same attire which Khan did in his blockbuster film Hum Aapke Hai Koun. These two characters play ardent Salman fans in the film and they are even named after the superstar.
