Contrary to the reports, Shweta who grabbed headlines too not long ago for allegedly being involved in a prostitution racket isn’t teaming up with the Shahid director
According to a report in a leading daily, talented filmmaker Hansal Mehta signed Shweta Basu Prasad for a documentary which is about Hindustani Classical music. However, this piece of information isn’t true at all. The National Award winning director took to popular social networking site Twitter to clear the air about the same. He tweeted a while back, “Arre Bhai HT City. Verify before you quote me… The news is erroneous..” Though Mehta had expressed his desire to cast Shweta in his film on social media long back, for now it seems the two are teaming up for any project.
In September, the City Lights director had come out in support of the 23-year-old actress who was arrested in connection to a high-profile sex racket. Back then Hansal Mehta had tweeted, “Stop posting pictures of Shweta. Put out the pictures of her wealthy clients and the pimp. Expose the scumbags not the soft target.” He had further posted, “I intend to offer Shweta Prasad a role in my next film. She was so good in Makdee.”
