Here’s what the HNY director had to say about the whole controversy….
Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone’s Happy New Year has minted more than Rs 350 crore worldwide but it was recently surrounded in controversy when Jaya Bachchan called HNY a nonsensical film on a public platform. As reported, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan later apologized to SRK for the same, which again made it to the news. However, amidst all this hullabaloo Farah Khan, the director of the film, kept quiet. She has finally broken her silence and opened up about the whole incident.
Farah in an interview with an online portal informed that she was okay about the comment as she knew that Jaya Bachchan didn’t mean what the reports were claiming it to be. She informed that Jaya had personally met her after seeing the film and told her that Happy New Year was as nonsensical as Amar Akbar Anthony, which in the present day is considered a classic cult. Farah informs that Jaya meant that both these films were equally entertaining and brainless. Farah also suggested that Jaya should sue the publication who came up with the report as she felt it was an infringement of privacy.
Farah went on to warn celebs to remain cautious while speaking at public platforms as their statements can be construed in various ways. Watch it for yourself...
