Zid starring debutants, Karanvir Sharma, Mannara and Shraddha Das has already created quite a buzz ever since the films trailer was released online. The film produced by Anubhav Sinha and Mushtaq Shiekh is a psychological thriller that also has an erotic feel to it.

While the makers of the film are extremely happy with the response that the songs and trailers have generated, they are a bit wary about concern raised by the theatre owners. It is learnt that the theatre owners have conveyed to the makers that the posters of the film are to bold for their liking and that they will not be able to put them on display. The issue is more with the multiplexes. We spoke with a marketing head of one of the biggest multiplex chain in the city and he shared his views but wanted his name to remain undisclosed.

He said, “See, there is no doubt that Zid is generating a lot of buzz. We believe the film will get a bumper opening but the problem regarding the posters still is a concern. There are families, children and elderly people who visit multiplexes and so such posters can’t be put up.” We spoke with Mushtaq Shiekh regarding the issue. The associate producer of the film was pressed for time and without wasting a second, he went straight to the point and said, “Currently we are busy with the final leg of promotions of the film. I am aware that there is an issue with the theatre owners but we are working on it and it will be sorted soon.”

Well, we hope that the issue gets resolved at the earliest. Both the producers as well as the theatre owners would want a smooth release for Zid. The film releases across India on 28th November 2014.
