The television fraternity recently attended one of the most prestigious award functions of the year. We take a look at most fashionable and the most horrendous dressers form the award show…
In the ladies…
The divas:
Mouni Roy: We cannot begin to explain what a breath of fresh air Mouni’s white outfit teamed with simple golden jhumkas is! Absolutely love the simplicity of the attire as well as the make-up!
Krystle D’Souza: While her beau Karan Tacker may not have impressed us with his outfit, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai actress sure impressed us with her floor-length gown. We love she has kept the make-up minimal.
The offenders:
Sanjeeda Sheikh: We cannot decide what to call the outfit the Ek Hasina Thi star wore to the award show. Not because we are fashionably-challenged, but just because we don’t want to have a legitimate name and therefore have the status of being a legitimate item of clothing.
Simone Singh: Yellow Yellow, dirty fellow. Sorry that is all we could come up with after looking at the Ek Hasina Thi vamp’s attire.
Aashka Goradia: Looking at the ‘costume’ Goradia decided to turn up in at the awards function we figure that the actress mistook the show for a Halloween Party. Hence the scary quotient of the outfit, no?
Nia Sharma: The Jamai Raja actress seemed to have rushed to the award function and looks like in a hurry she forgot to fire the tailor for not completing her shimmery outfit!
Digangana Suryavanshi: With those tresses to kill for, that dress was a total buzz kill. The Ek Veer Ki Ardaas… Veera actress could have picked out a floor-length outfit for those lovely tresses to stand out!
Preetika Rao: The Beintehaa actress seemed to have packed up shoot and shown up on the sets of the awards show without going for a dress change. The pink floor length anarkali is a done to death number. We would have loved to see the actress experiment…
Rashmi Desai: The printed gown wasn’t so much of an eyesore as the Uttran actress’ gaudy make- up and weird hairdo. Subtler make-up and hair done in a simple bun could have done the trick for his outfit.
Upasana Singh: As much as we love her as a the nagging bua on Comedy Nights with Kapil, we just cannot forgive her for her choice of outfit for the event. The only redeeming factor of the salwar-kameez is that it is not the most hideous outfit from the evening.
Jayati Bhatia: Her’s was the most hideous outfit from the evening. We don’t even wish to comment further. Let the picture do the talking.
Smita Bansal: The Balika Vadhu actress used to be a simple dresser. We wonder what happened! And killing a crow to make the neck part of your top? For shame, Smita, for shame!
And now the gents…
Those who impressed…
Harshad Arora: Unlike his Beintehaa co-star, Harshad impressed us with his red carpet appearance in a grey shawl collar blazer and grey trousers.
Rohit Roy: When in doubt, wear a suit. Rohit practiced the motto at the telly awards and wowed us which his suave fashion statement. We are glad he didn’t go for a gaudy suit and stuck to simple.
Sameer Soni: The actor looked dapper in a simple grey suit and white shirt. Somehow not trying too hard always works well when it comes to fashion. Hai na?
Those who depressed:
Karan Tacker: If you want to see how an ill-fitted vest can ruin a look, look no further. The Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa contestant tried pulling off the effortlessly dapper look (suspiciously inspired by Shahid Kapoor) but failed.
Karanvir Bohra: Again with the wannabe ‘yo’ look? It won’t work if you wear those idiotic looking shades in the evening Karan! It just won’t! And it’s not just the shades the red checkered shirt with those fitted jeans and brown shoes is awful too!
Vatsal Sheth: The Ek Hasina Thi actor decided to don a traditional attire for the award show. No matter how noble that thought was the choice of colour went horribly wrong and Vatsal ended up looking unimpressive.
Sangram Singh: No, just no! That colour is not mustard, it hurts he eye and is a strict no no!
