Kill Dil

Director: Shaad Ali

Star cast: Ranveer Singh, Govinda, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra, Kader Khan, Rocky Verma

Synopsis: Two killers – Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali Zafar) were nurtured by Bhaiyaji (Govinda) who trained them to be killers. Dev falls in love with Disha (Parineeti Chopra). But Bhaiyaji does not accept the relationship between Dev and Disha. Around this evolves a story of defiance.

Why should you watch: The film promises some stellar performances from Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra and will mark a comeback for Kader Khan. Govinda will be featured in a YRF film for the first time. The quirky dialogue teaser and the songs of the film have really hyped our hopes and the film looks like a fun watch.

Liar’s Dice

Director: Geetu Mohandas

Star cast: Geetanjali Thapa, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manya Gupta, Vikram Bhagra, Murari Kumar

Synopsis: The film is set in a village in Himachal Pradesh near the Indo-Tibetan border, where Kamala (Geetanjali Thapa) lives with her young daughter Manya (Manya Gupta). She hasn’t heard from her husband Harud, who has gone to work at a construction job in far away Delhi. When she decides to go to Delhi herself to find her husband, she takes her daughter along, who in turn insists on taking her little goat along. Then she finds Nawazuddin (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), an army deserter who offers to help her in the journey first to Shimla and onwards to Delhi.

Why should you watch: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his brilliant performance and given that it’s his film whole and sole, we sure have high expectations. Also it’s India’s official entry to the Oscars this year. So every Indian, we suppose, should watch it at least once.

So audiences, go ahead and take your pick this week.
