The Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji actress has been embroiled in a lot of controversy over the past few weeks. Is all of that just a publicity gaining stunt? Or is it just movie promotional? Lets hear the truth from the actress herself…
Shraddha Das opened up a few days back about what happened on the sets of her upcoming film Zid. She has garnered more eyeballs with her fight with Priyanka Chopra’s cousin sister Mannara, than she has with all her films put together. Now the question that was eating into every reporter’s minds was whether all of this is just a publicity stunt by an actress who is relatively new in the film industry and trying to get into the good books of audiences by defaming another fellow actress. However, when contacted, the actress openly denied anything of the same.
Shraddha said, “All of this is not a publicity stunt as if getting publicity was my motive I would have been present at every promotional event for Zid. However, it doesn’t mean that I don’t attach myself with the film. It is very much my film and I have informed the producer Anubhav Sinha that he can call me as and when he needs me for any event. However, I had one small request that I wouldn’t want to be seen at the same event as Mannara. Anubhav sir and other people on the sets know it that I had been badly bruised because of Mannara’s over excessive enthusiasm. I even had to be taken to the hospital with a swollen eye and shoot had to called off for some time. So it’s not a publicity stunt at all.”
Shraddha shot to fame with superb roles in films like Lahore and Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji. Also she has around 25 south films under her belt. Wethinks an actress of her caliber would not stoop so low so as to try and gain some publicity by defaming others. Whatever is the truth wethinks all this jazz is definitely helping promote the film in some manner or the other. In this industry every publicity is good publicity. What do you think ?
