The esteemed filmmaker is finally coming back to where he started it all
Anurag Basu, who has given us movies like Murder, Life in a Metro and Barfi is kicked about his new project, but this one is not for the theatres. The filmmaker is keen to make Choker Bali for the small screen.
According to reports, Anurag has already roped in Radhika Apte as his lead actress. Radhika is currently working on nine films at the same time; we wonder how the actress will find time to do a TV show in all that.
Choker Bali is based on the novel written by Rabindranath Tagore. Now there have been shows based on books before but none were truly appreciated by the viewers. In fact makers were forced to divert from the book and create their own twists and turns. So will the story of Choker Bali conform to the book or will it change as per the TRP demands? Guess that is something we will have to wait and watch.
