Is Sonam trying to go the Ranveer way? Find out the full story!
The much awaited trailer of Sonam Kapoor’s Dolly Ki Doli is finally out.Speaking of which, the trailer introduces us to this chasing plot of Sonam conning men by getting married and looting them on the very first night. Now, it’s quite impressive for the fact that I enjoyed watching the motion tour but, I’ve also spotted this strange resemblance to Ranveer Singh’s 2011 film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.

The basic plot of Dolly ki Doli narrates Sonam being this cunning woman who marries men only to fraud them. And if you relate, Ranveer’s Ladies vs Ricky Bahl too had this very same plot where Ranveer traps rich women, blinds them in love and breaks their heart with cunning the conning! Run for fun…
Three Foolish victims…
Secondly, the fraud victims are categorized on number 3. Ladies vs Ricky Bahl had three chics being fooled by Ranveer and Dolly Ki Doli too platters these 3 men who are fooled on their very first night! Oops…Teen tigda, kaam bigda!

And lastly, the promo scene where Sonam refuses to make love with her groom blaming it on her girl thing, reminds us of Parineeti’s dialogue where she complaints, ‘Ricky ne toh mujhe kiss bhi nahi kiya hai”, from Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. It’s funny but not funny!
Apart from Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Dolly Ki Doli also draws a few similarities to Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur’s latest offering, Daawat-e-Ishq. However when asked, producer Arbaaz Khan cleared the air stating that every con movie will revolve around a similar plot more-or-less. It is the characters, the performances and the treatment of the film that makes Dolly Ki Doli stand different.
