Director Shankar: Vikram’s hunchback avatar in I is not inspired from 300!




The Robot director opens up about one of Vikram’s characters in the upcoming magnum opus…

Southern superstar Vikram has donned various looks for his upcoming film I, and the most talked among them is his beast avatar and the hunchback one. While Vikram cleared the airs about the beast avatar being only there for a song, the hunchback avatar seems to be there throughout the movie. Now speculations were rife that the hunchback avatar was inspired from the Hollywood flick 300, which in itself was inspired from the novel The Hunchback Of Notre Dame. However, director Shankar refuted all claims about any similarities.

At a recent press meet Shankar informed, “Vikram’s hunchback avatar in I is not inspired from 300. That character of hunchback may have appeared in other films in the past, which may look even similar, but my character was completely original. It wasn’t inspired at all. I had the idea of making I since the past 15 years and finally it has materialised.”

With so much being talked about the film, Vikram and Shankar’s I has become one of the most awaited films of the next year. Wethinks once we see the film, all these doubts about the various characters will get clarified. After a lot of delay the film is all set to release this Pongal.
