Sonam’s upcoming movie Dolly Ki Doli’s first song is out and we have mixed feelings about it…
Sonam Kapoor is single-handedly turning up the fun level in the latest Dolly Ki Doli song Phatte Tak Nachna! Dressed in a lovely Anita Dongre lehenga as a newly wed, Sonam is dancing as the drunken bride who is about to con her groom! While Sonam looks great in the song we aren’t sure if we love the wedding number so much in itself!
The track is crooned by Sunidhi Chauhan who strangely enough doesn’t sound like the right choice for this number. Perhaps a fresh voive would have sounded better. The lyrics penned by Danish Sabri are just about okay and to be honest “police bulana” has been done to death by now they can official quit using the phrase in songs. The music by Sajid-Wajid doesn’t make you jump off your seat and start grooving. To put it simply Phatte Tak Nachna is not the ideal foot-tapping number you need this wedding season!
But all said and done Sonam looks endearing as ever in the video. The highlight of the song though is Varun Sharma and his ‘Nagin’ dance, hands down! We are looking forward to catching Dolly Ki Doli in theatres soon.
