Since Farhan is busy with Bijoy Nambiar’s next, the Kick baddie will do Rahul Dholakia’s film
Kick baddie Nawazuddin Siddiqui has finally replaced Farhan Akhtar in Excel Entertainment’s Raees starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Though we had a few initial reports suggesting Nawaz’s denial on replacing Farhan in this Rahul Dholakia directorial but a source close to the development now clears the air stating, “Nawaz would be an apt choice to play the cop as it is a performance-oriented role. That’s the reason Farhan was drawn to it as soon as he heard the script. But with Shah Rukh’s injuries, the shoot of Raees got pushed forward. Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do also got delayed and eventually Farhan’s dates for Raees were clashing with those that he had allotted to Bijoy Nambiar’s film for Vinod Chopra.” The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor then eventually had to let this film go as he didn’t want to delay the project any further. If all goes well, Raees should now roll post monsoon.
In Raees, Nawaz will be seen essaying a tough cop that was initially meant for Farhan while Shah Rukh will play a Gujarati don.
