Karan Singh Grover‘s and Bipasha Basu’s upcoming horror film is a copy of the eponymous 2007 Thai horror flick. Bipasha Basu plays a double role of conjoined twins in the film and Karan romances one of the two sisters. The horror sets in as one of the twins dies and comes back from the dead to haunt her sister and her lover.
The plot of Karan and Bipasha’s film is a carbon copy of the Thai flick. The Thai horror film ends with the death of both sisters while the leading man survives. Whether or not Bipasha and Karan‘s Alone will have the same ending, we are yet to find out but we are already disappointed.
The reason being that this film will mark the release of yet another Hollywood remake. Seems like Bollywood is suffering from a dearth of original ideas which is why it is currently OD-ing on plots borrowed from the West! From The Fault in Our Stars to 21 Jump Street and now Alone, Bollywood is picking scripts from every genre to make remakes.
We think the audiences deserve to see more original ideas than remakes. Tell us your thoughts on the same.
