The Finding Fanny actor’s next with his alleged girlfriend Sonakshi Sinha is a remake of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu
South remakes have become a staple diet of B-town filmmakers. After a handful of films from south were remade in Hindi this year, 2015 starts with yet another south remake to entertain the audience. Sanjay Kapoor’s Tevar starring Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpai, which is touted to release on Jan 9,2015, is remake of 2003 Telugu film Okkadu.
Earlier we had reported how the makers of Tevar have stuck to the original, as there were many similarities between Tevar and Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu. Recently, when Arjun Kapoor was asked if he had met Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, the actor said,” I had spoken to him earlier. I was supposed to meet him. He had seen the trailer of the film and I got a thumbs up and text from him”
From what Arjun has to say, it looks like not only the B-town but even Okkadu actor Mahesh Babu is impressed with Tevar‘s look and feel. Okkadu was one of the movies which established Mahesh as a mass hero. Can Tevar do the same for Arjun, what Okkadu did for Mahesh? Answer awaits at January 9,2015.
