When she first started in Bollywood, Parineeti Chopra was often referred to as Priyanka Chopra’s younger cousin. Gradually, the actress has carved a niche for herself and is now considered one of the leading ladies on the block. Where Pari has made her way in the industry, PeeCee’s other cousin Mannara recently made her Bollywood debut with film Zid.Priyanka’s support for Mannara has been much more when compared to Parineeti and the same is evident. PeeCee was seen promoting the Zid actress and singing praises for her like there’s no tomorrow. We wonder if the same is the reason for Pari’s rather surprising quote, where she was seen stating,” Adi(Aditya Chopra) is my mentor, not Priyanka(Chopra). I don’t discuss work with her, but I do discuss work with him. He is the one person who has known me from before I entered the industry. He was the one who discovered me.”
Elaborating further on the bond she shares with Aditya, the Kill Dil actress continued,” Adi knows what I should sign next. I never sign a film without taking his advice. He takes time out to sit with me and discusses the films that are offered to me. He asks me, ‘Okay, why do you want to do this film?’ He guides me, but he never takes a decision for me.”
Pari has been linked time and again with director Maneesh Sharma. The actress had however maintained that they both are close friends and nothing beyond that. Talking about him,Pari said,” I talk to Maneesh about everything. He really knows what is good for me as I have not grown up in this city, and I am an outsider to the industry.”
Well the babe has made it loud and clear that PeeCee isn’t her mentor. We wonder how the latter would react to the same. Is this the beginning of Chopra vs Chopra war? Time will tell!
