What is going on? Read on as we spill the beans!
After his last two successful hits Aamir and Shaitaan, Rajeev Khandelwal has had a string of misses with films like Table No. 21, Samrat and Co. etc. The actor, however, is ready to appear on the big screen again, in an Indo-Australian film. The venture unfortunately won’t be seeing a release in India. It will feature Rajeev opposite New Zealand based actress Chelsea Preston Crayford and we hear that the two are facing certain cultural differences.Nah folks, it’s not what you think. The couple will be seen going through the same in their film, where Rajeev will be playing an Indian guy sharing a special friendship with an Australian woman, played by Chelsea. Talking about the same, Rajeev told a leading daily,” The film is how an Indian guy and Australian woman become friends, but their cultural differences become an issue.”
So what made him give a nod to the project? “Abhijith Deonath, the director of the movie, approached me six months ago. Honestly, I was not interested initially and kept ignoring the offer. I changed my mind when he came down to India to speak to me. That’s when I took him seriously and liked the concept,” Rajeev informed the daily.
When asked his opinion about the fact that the film won’t be seeing a release in India, Rajeev said.” I have signed the film despite knowing the fact that it will not see a release in India and is only meant for international film festivals. I do not care much about a film’s mass appeal. I sign them if the subject appeals to me.”
Well we wish good look to the actor for his next venture!
