Khan’s last three films failed to get cash registers jingling and that has certainly affected his career…
Though Saif Ali Khan has quite a few films under his belt, things are smooth professionally for him. His last three films – Bullet Raja, Humshakals and Happy Ending tanked at the box office and this has now led to a pay cut. However, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s hubby dearest isn’t worried about moolah. He just wants to concentrate on his work and do good films. While talking to a leading tabloid, the B-town star said, “Prices go up and down. Right now the quality of work is more important to me than money. Next year should be about good roles.”
We hear Ekta Kapoor is buys revising logistics for her next production venture that stars Saif in the lead. The film in question is adaptation of Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X which will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The TV czarina is also reworking on her lead hero’s fee. That’s not all! Ekta has even reduced her film’s budget by one-third. While the television queen is being cautious, Kabir Khan on the other hand has full faith in Khan who will be seen in his next directorial venture alongside Katrina Kaif. “I cast Saif in Phantom because he is perfect for the role. Irrespective of hits or flops, he is a terrific actor and that, not numbers, will always be a director’s priority as far as casting is concerned,” said the talented filmmaker to the same tabloid.
