The shooting of Shaandaar has been stalled in Mumbai but why? Read on to know full story…
Vikas Bahl’s next directorial venture Shaandaar starring Shahid Kapoor, Ali Bhatt, Pankaj Kapur and Sanjay Kapoor has landed in trouble. On Monday, the film’s shooting was stopped by workers at Essel Studio over monetary issues. The producers haven’t cleared the payment of the workers which why the shoot has been stalled. While talking to a leading tabloid, general secretary of the union Gangeshwar Srivastav said, “The producers of the film had to clear our dues which was about Rs 7 lakh. After our workers started non-cooperation on Monday morning, they have agreed to pay us Rs 4 lakh.”
But the problem hasn’t been resolved as yet. The workers will resume shooting only after the entire amount is cleared. “They have this habit of holding onto the payment. They cleared our ‘Bombay Velvet’ payments only when Shaandar went on floors. We will not allow this to happen, ” added Srivastav.
However, we hear the shooting resumed the same day and the makers even managed to shot a song with Sasha and Alia. This happened because apparently the producers promised to clear payment by Monday evening.
