The actor has left many spellbound with his rugged form in the teaser of Badlapur. We compare Varun’s current vindictive role to his previous chocolate boy ones. Make your vote count and tell us which one you like more!
This year belongs to good boys who have gone bad. Where the most obvious examples include Sidharth Malhotra’s grudge bearing role in Ek Villain followed by his co-star Riteish Deshmukh who played the badass in the film, Varun Dhawan gets added to the list. The actor has given us films like Student Of The Year, Main Tera Hero and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Making a mark in the category of chichoras who floor ladies with their charm , Varun through his roles has popularly known to be the friendly neighbor. But Varun’s lantern is about to see some red.
The actor will be seen in a stunning transformation for his role of Raghu in Sriram Raghavan’s film, Badlapur. On a mission to seek revenge from his nemesis who destroyed his family, this film will showcase Varun’s dark side like never before. The actor when asked about his role in the revenge drama said,” I can’t go into the specifics, but my character in the revenge drama is a guy working in an ad agency who starts a family. You will see me as a father on the screen for the first time.” The course of the film will feature Varun aging from an 18 to a 40 year old.
This is the first time the actor will be seen in an extreme and intense form. His film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania presented him as a Punjabi munda Humpty, whose aim was to seek his ladylove Kavya (Alia Bhatt). Prior to that, Varun was seen playing similar roles in Student of The Year and Main Tera Hero.
We are eagerly waiting to see Varun’s dark and deadly side in his next. But there are many who still might dig the actor’s chocolate boy roles as compared to the one put forth in Badlapur’s teaser. Are you one of those?
