ADELAIDE: Flopped bating and bowling line up of Pakistan paved the way for Indian victory in its first start up match of World cup and also retained its world cup history against India as Pakistan faced sixth defeat against India in World Cup.
Pakistan lost its match against India which was stated to be final before the final by 76 runs and whole of Pakistan team bowled out at 224 runs even did not complete 50 overs. Virat Kohli was declared man of the match over his superb century.
The green shirts decision to send Younis Khan as a opener proved to be blunder as he lost his wickets on just total of 13 runs after that somewhat better partnership witnessed between Ahmed Shahzad and Harris Sohail which added 68 runs on score board.
As partnership broke on score of 79 no other partnership could be make between any player of the team and situation got worse when three of Pakistani players were sent to pavilion with quick succession even that Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal both bowled out at score of 103 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan bowling line up revived after 45 overs as India’s last five batsman were sent to pavilion in last fiver overs and restricted Indian team on 300 runs in its first opening match of the world cup and match stated to be final before the final against its arch rivals India.
Pakistani fast bowler Sohail Khan has taken five wickets in the match earlier Indian team started the match confidently and had made 273 runs at the end of 45 over which included two 50s and one century.
Virat Kohli played superbly and made 107 runs after Sohail Khan took his wicket in 46th over, Dhwan made 73 runs that with Kohli played wonderful partnership of 129 runs. He was run out in 30th over.
Suresh Raina also played superb innings and scored 74 runs in 78 balls which included five 4s and three 6s. Sohail khan took his wickets.
Till end of 45 over it looked that Indian will score more than or 350 runs but the green shirts bowling line up came on full swing from 46th over and Indian team just added 27 runs in last five overs.
From Pakistani side after Sohail Khan, Wahab Riyaz was also successful bowler and he gave 49 runs in 10 overs and took one wicket. He is the only Pakistani player who bowled very economically.
In today’s match Pakistani spinners did not perform and remained very expensive as Yasir Shah gave 60 runs in just eight overs, Afridi gave 50 runs in eight overs.
