Born on March 12, 1983, "Atif Aslam’s" first love wasn’t singing but cricket. He was such a good fast bowler that at one point he was training to represent his country Pakistan in the U-19 World Cup. But destiny had other plans for Atif. During his college days, Atif’s friends encouraged him to take up singing and that’s when he recorded his first single Aadat with his pocket money. Within no time the song became a hit and Aslam entered the world of music. In 2004, the talented singer released his first album ‘Jal Pari’. In 2005, he made his debut in Bollywood by for Emraan Hashmi in the movie Zeher. Aand after that there was no looking back.
In 2011, Atif also acted in the movie named “BOL”. In 2012, "Atif Aslam" was named amongst the top performers of Dubai alongside Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Il Divo, Gotye, Evanescence and Swedish House Mafia. Also, he is the first Asian man to have performed inside the Dashrath Rangasla – National Football Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal. Last year, the singer performed for the first time at the LG Arena in Birmingham.
Atif has three songs featured in the American independent film, "Man Push Cart" which has won international awards and was praised by critics. He then sung two songs in "Mira Nairs" film "The Reluctant Fundamentalist".
