First look of "Imran Abbas Naqvi" and "Pernia Qureshi" starrer Muzaffar Ali’s upcoming film Jaanisaar, has been revealed. Pernia plays a courtesan named Noor in this film, while Imran plays the role of an Indian prince who is born in the British Empire. Most parts of the film has been shot at original locations in Lucknow and Kotwal.
Sources tell, Pernia is very impressed by "Imran". She said, “He is tailor made for this role. We became very good friends very quickly; he was extremely helpful. He is a great guy to work with.”
Imran’s first debut film in Bollywood, Creature 3D, opposite Bipasha Basu, badly flopped at the Box office. But Pernia is not bothered by that. She and "Imran" is confident about their upcoming movie.
Both "Imran" and Pernia will be seen wearing vintage clothes which reflects their characters in that era. As Pernia plays a courtesan in the film she was trained by Pandit Birju Maharaj in Kathak for the dances in the film. The designer is also a trained Odissi dancer.
Jaanisaar will show the time when India was still under the British Raj. We hope that the fashion entrepreneur’s foray into Bollywood works wonders for her and her co-star.
