Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is on the roll these days, after receiving prestigious Filmfare award he bagged another award for his debut performance in ‘Khoobsurat’. Fawad Khan won the Best Male Debut Award at the ‘IBNLive Movie Awards’ after beating the likes of Tiger Shroff, Inaamulhaq and Tahir Raj Bhasin for the second time.
“Coming from across the border with his touching romantic drama ‘Humsafar’ Fawad Khan made a place for himself in the hearts of the Indian audiences. His work in the movie ‘Khoobsurat’ also received a similar kind of response. His subtle performances made him a nominee for the ‘IBNlive Movie Awards’ best male debut and his fans votes made him the winner of the award. He beat Inaamulhaq, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Tiger Shroff by winning 48.54% of the total votes,” IBNLive reported.
But here we are going to tell you another story and guess what??? Fawad Khan bagged another role in Bollywood. Fawad Khan, who is in Mumbai for the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Kapoor & Sons’ will set the silver screen ablaze with another romantic flick Sohail Khan’s My Punjabi Nikaah. While there has been no official announcement from the makers yet, stylist Ashley Rebello has confirmed that he will be styling Fawad for the film.
‘My Punjabi Nikaah’ is a romantic comedy loosely based on ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’. Fawad will play a nawab’s son in the film and the girl pairing up with him, a judge’s daughter. Interestingly enough, the film was meant to kick off in 2005, with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, but was put on the backburner. Sohail Khan later confirmed that Salman Khan would not be a part of the project due to date conflicts.
If it goes ahead, this project would be an addition to the growing list of Bollywood films that the Pakistani hearthrob has under his belt. Fawad Khan charmed his way into Indian audience with his popular drama series ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ and ‘Humsafar’, after that there wasn’t no looking back for him. He has been flooded with Bollywood offers, among which he has confirmed his presence in one of the biggest production house of India.
