When you were a child or a teenager in late 90s and had a TV set at your home or in one of the homes in your general vicinity, odds are 100 percent that you remember a superpower character "Zakoota" and his acclaimed dialog, 'Mujhy Kaam Batao, Main Kia Karoun, Main Kis Ko Khaoun,' in the most famous youngsters dramatization serial in the Pakistan history, 'Ainak Wala Jin.' The 62 years of age Matloob ur Rehman alias Munna Lahori, who played Zakoota in Ainak Wala Jin, is currently a jobless-loss and paralyzed.
Munna Lahori, a veteran stage artist at Al Hamra Arts Council, Lahore, has not done a solitary show for eight months. Munna Lahori had come up short on cash and need to leave his home. There is no home for Lahori in Lahore city and he is living some place in a non residential area. He asks for government and drama industry to designate him a home some place in a residential area.
Talking to BBC Urdu service, Munna Lahori aka Zakoota, complained that during his illness days, nobody from Arts Council, artist organisations, and government has come for his help. All he receives is a claque from Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, and that too once after two-three months.
Zakoota found his job and did it well. He entertained you and created memories. It is now your time to pay back and all you need to do is, raise your voice and share the message, ‘Zakoota Needs A Home'
