From TV commercials to hosting morning shows and playing lead roles in hit serials, Sanam Jung has done it all and that too within a short span of time. Having tried her luck as teacher and a banker, Sanam found her true calling in showbiz and became a darling of Pakistani audiences within no time.
Her off-screen personality is approachable and unguarded, making the "Alvida" actress quite unlike other starlets in this respect. But what’s not obvious are these lesser known facts:
10 Lesser Known Facts you didn't know about Sanam Jung:
1. She first studied in St. Michael’s and then did her MBA from CBM. She have been a teacher, a banker and a Country Business Manager for a multinational company before dabbling in showbiz.
2. She never wanted to act. She was a A- levels student when she found out that Nabila’s talent agency Zinc was giving a free makeover followed by a photo shoot. So, she ended up at Zinc for makeover and shoot and then forgot all about it. However, a few days later she got a call from an agency for a TV commercial. She was not sure if she wanted to do it but her parents encouraged to go for it. And that’s how she ended up doing TV commercials.
3. She has a great love and respect for her father. Infact, she can’t say no to her father and always obey him.
4. Sanam Jung is a cry baby. She always take her mother or sister on trips with her. In fact She used to pay for her sister to accompany on trips. She cannot travel alone.
5. She is amazing swimmer and participated on national level swimming championships.
6. She don't know how to cook but she is perfect in making tea and boil eggs.
7. She can't keep secret, "Mein pet ki buhat halki hoon. Mujhe koi kahe ye bat kisi ko nahi batani us waqt to me sir hila deti hoon lekin thori der bad kisi na kisi ko bata deti hoon" Sanam said.
8. She don't like reading and even hate to read drama scripts. "I can’t remember dialogues at all and I’ve ruined countless takes because I’ve mixed up my lines" Sanam added.
9. In her childhood she was very disrespectful to her mother she once said, "Me ami ko kisi bhi khatir me na lati thi kuyn ke mein samajhti thi jo bhi parents karte hain ye unka farz hai, waqt ke sath sath unki value ka andza hua ab meri mother meri best friend hain".
10. Dil-e-Muztar director Roomi rejected Sanam for the role of Sila. "when I met Nina Kashif from Momina Duraid Productions. She wanted me to act in her underproduction serial Dil-e-Muztar. I finally decided to give it a shot but was then informed by Nina that the director Roomi did not want to work with a new actor. I was a bit upset. However, soon Nina called me to audition for the same. I was certainly not thrilled but I did go for the auditions. I later learned that Roomi was no longer working on Dil-e-Muztar and had been replaced by Shahzad Kashmiri. Incidentally both Shahzad and I made our debut in this play, she told MAG.
