‘Pakistani women are beautiful!’ says Vidya Balan
Being regarded as one of the most impressive B-town actresses at the moment, playing bold scene isn’t a big deal for such a courageous lady. She has portrayed her skills in blockbusters like ‘Lagey Raho Munna Bhai’, The Dirty Picture, and ‘Kahani’ etc. It is interesting to know that an actress of such a great stature is a massive fan of Pakistani artists from both film and music industry.
Talking to a local newspaper, she appeared to be big fan of Pakistani artists, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in particular and stated that Pakistanis are identified as soulful, melodious musicians.
“We all love soulful, melodious music and Pakistanis are known for that. Personally, I love Rahat and have listened many episodes of Coke Studio Pakistan as well,” she said.
She also described her meeting with Pakistani prominent Sufi singer a couple of years back.
“I absolutely loved Arieb Azhar’s Na Raindee Hai and got to meet Abida Parveen a few years ago too. My God, she has a powerful voice!”
Like all the Indians, Vidya is also obsessed with Pakistani drama serials and stage performers. She expressed that she grew up watching Umar Shareef’s comedy stage play Bakra Qiston Par.
