Sunny Leone’s special treat for fans on February 6 – find out!

After watching Sunny Leone blow us away with a steamy performance in Ragini MMS 2, the former adult movie star is gearing up for her upcoming film Ek Paheli Leela, in which she plays a sultry princess.

And guess what? The trailer of the film, which is directed and written by Bobby Khan will be out on February 6. Confirming the same, Leone tweeted, “saw the trailer of #Leela.Super excited for the trailer launch on 6th Feb. Follow @leelafilm for all the updates on the film.”

Ek Paheli Leela, which is a 9-song musical will feature Sunny in a new avatar where she dons the role of a princess.

The first look of the film was released few months back and it generated quite a frenzy among the former Bigg Boss contestants’ fans. We also told you how Sunny shot a reworked version of the chart buster song, Dholi Taro from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai starrer Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam for this film. Producer Bhushan Kumar, who already has the rights of the original track, chose the song which is recreated by Meet Bros and is transformed into a Rajasthani folk number. A massive set was erected in the dunes of Jaisalmer with a crowd of over 500 dancers assembled for the shoot that lasted for a week.

After AIB Roast, ban on Russell Peters?

The Canadian comedic is going to be in India this week, but given how the stand-up comedy scene here is going down since past few days, I won’t be surprised if he is asked to be put in jail as well

On one not so cold night of December last year, 4000 people filled a stadium in Mumbai to watch a no holds barred comedic event that featured nation’s finest comedians – All India Bakchod (AIB) along with Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar and others. And then it was uploaded on YouTube with great fanfare. It was designed to be rude, filthy and offensive. It went viral, especially with the youth.

But then in a country where being offended is pretty much a statutory right, someone had to play a spoilsport. Akhilesh Tiwari of Brahman Ekta Seva Sanstha filed a written complaint against Karan, Arjun and Ranveer for their antics during the AIB Roast. And saying that it’s stupid would surely be an understatement.

More importantly, what message are we sending out to the world? International comics like Russell Peters and Gabriel Iglesias visit often and sell thousands of tickets here. In fact, Peters is all set to return to India with an all new improved set. But considering how the stand-up comedy scene is going down here since the last few days, I won’t be surprised if there will be a criminal complaint against him as well. Clearly, we are unfortunately living in a country of misplaced priorities.

During one of his earlier visits, his statements, ‘Aishwarya Rai; she’s beautiful, but a terrible actress’ and ‘I hate Bollywood. The movies are all garbage’, didn’t go down too well with several people.

I happened to attend Peter’s show last time when he was here, and I know he doesn’t like to mince his words. And it won’t be different this time. I really wonder if these moralists are going to act the same way when Russell gets done with his act! I just hope they don’t. People like Tiwari need to see that there’s clearly demand for content like this in a country where 65% of the population is under 35 years.

Coming back to AIB Knockout, I agree the show was vulgar and obscene. It could also be accused of racism, misogyny and homophobia. There were several times when I gasped, “I can’t believe they just said that”. Much of the humour left me cold. But with so many disclaimers at the beginning of the video and Johar stating that it wasn’t for those easily or difficultly offended, I don’t have any right to complain.

And same goes for the people watching it live. The tickets, as far as I know were with disclaimer on, let alone the fact that the money went to charity. It was shot in a private environment with the consent of the ticket holders knowing the disclaimer and the probable content of the show. And I am sure not one person in the audience walked out or was offended. They laughed and cheered as abuse was flung and their stars were undervalued.

“The show, which can be seen on YouTube and other websites, was extremely abusive and it is not only ruining the clean image of the Indian culture & women but is also misleading today’s youth,” said Tiwari in this complaint. But let’s face it, the same youth that Tiwari is talking about watches movies like Delhi Belly, Gangs Of Wasseypur and many others that are filled with abuses and are easily available on the internet. The very same youth also watches shows like Bigg Boss, where we learn lessons about light molestation, making jokes about being molested, how to hit on other women in front of your wife, and sneaking kisses (or maybe more) in the toilet.

Anyway this entire controversy has took a major turn with AIB pulling down the videos from their YouTube channel last night. Clearly, it is like freedom of speech committing suicide. Sad day for Indian comedy.

Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel garnered a lot of attention with their PDA especially their lip-lock inside the Bigg Boss house. This romance became a hot topic of discussion in Indian homes.

Even on social media, they had their own hash-tag – #UpMa that was trending on Twitter for a long time.

Karishma, who broke up with her boyfriend Rushabh Choksi and accepted Upen’s proposal on national television said that her feelings for Upen are genuine and not for the cameras. The 36 China Town actor on the other hand also confessed how he is madly in love with Karishma.

And now that Bigg Boss 8 has come to an end, people are speculating if this love story will last long or will it meet the same fate that other affairs of the Bigg Boss house met with.

However, Kamaal R Khan has predicted the future of Karishma and Upen’s relationship. ”See result of all love stories of Bigg Boss like Sara-Ali, Tanisha-Arman, Rahul-Payal, Gauhar-Kushal so will happen with @karishma_tanna n Upen,” read KRK’s tweet. It now remains to be seen if the duo would reply to KRK’s tweet or choose to ignore it.

Which is why the Happy New Year director threw a bash for the contestants of the high voltage reality show. She took to Twitter to post the photographs with them.

There were times when he scolded me, but I didn’t go against him unlike others because I knew it was for my own good.”

On Diandra Soares: We were very good friends, still are. There was a kiss, but there was nothing more than that. I regret going into the bathroom with her. I have always drawn a line in every relationship and I would never overstep that. We are just friends and there can be nothing beyond that. I am sure she also knows that. Bigg Boss Halla Bol winner Gautam Gulati had a close camaraderie with model and contestant Diandra Soares while on the reality show, but he says he will ultimately settle down with a girl chosen by his mother. Excerpts from the interview:

How does it feel to stand with that trophy?

Trust me, it’s a great feeling. I wanted to see my mom before anyone else after I won the trophy. It’s her values that have brought me where I am. I’m not a stranger to popularity. So I know I need to handle this new level of success in my life in a capable way, or it will slip out of my hands. I want to do good work and not just become another Bigg Boss winner.

Your popularity has soared while you were in Bigg Boss?

It’s a great feeling. My colleagues inside Bigg Boss didn’t understand my feelings. But all of India did, and appreciated me. They’ve made me a star.

How do you plan to take this forward?

By doing good work, of course. I am going to sign good projects to entertain my fans. You’ll soon hear some announcements.

How would you describe your experience inside Bigg Boss?

I went in there as an entertainer. But the most unexpected things happened to me inside Bigg Boss. But no issues. At the end of the day, I was victorious. I remained cool and calm even under provocation. There was no double speak or hypocrisy in my attitude.

You were very quiet, sober and sensible inside there?

I didn’t go with the purpose of providing content for the TRPs. Other contestants did very strange things on the show. I won because I was myself on the show. When the others squabbled, I stayed calm. I wanted no trouble.

There were many attempts to provoke you?

Oh yes, a lot! I used to make Herculean efforts to control my temper. And I succeeded in getting rid of my temper each time. Every time I felt like losing my temper I turned it into an occasion for fun and frolic. I went out of my way to diffuse tension in the House. If I lost my cool when provoked., then there would have been no difference between them and me. When one party is upset, the other has to be calm.

You were Mr. Clean inside Bigg House and yet you were quite a Casanova with Diandra Soares and Karishma Tanna. Explain this contradiction?

There is no confusion within me about my priorities. I am going to marry the girl that my mother chooses for me. As for what happened inside with Diandra, it was a momentary impulse. If a girl kisses me what do I do? I can’t reject it. It would be rude. So I kissed her back. I realised there is an Emraan Hashmi inside me. And that part of me got provoked. But that part of me is done with. I don’t want to carry forward that image at all.

The image of Mr. Clean is very important to you?

It’s not about a clean image. It’s about being true to myself. Whatever I’ve done in my life I’ve done openly and unapologetically. But when I know there are no genuine feelings from my side, it’s better stop the relationship from going in that direction. Better to remain friends rather than create a false hopes of a relationship.

With your ‘Do No Trespass’ sign around your heart how will you handle the female fans?

I am certainly not going to hurt my fans. I’ll find a way of keeping them happy without being untrue to myself. Other stars take care of their fans. So can I.

What are your plans now?

I’ve done an international film called Darpok which had taken me to the red carpet of the Cannes International Film Festival. I want to do both Bollywood and international films. Trust me. My entry into Bollywood would be as solid as my entry into Bigg Boss. I never thought I’d be presented so well in Bigg Boss. It’s all due to my body language. Now it’s up filmmakers to capture the same body language.

While Gautam Gulati has already won the coveted Bigg Boss 8 Halla Bol trophy, here’s looking back at some of the dhamakedaar fights which took place on the high voltage celebrity reality show this season….

Karishma Tanna and Gautam Gulati: Though this two became friends towards the end of their Bigg Boss journey, Karishma and Gautam for the longest time were jaani dushman inside the BB8 house courtesy their fight which took place at the very beginning of the show. We all remember that, don’t we? While performing a task, Ms Tanna applied mirchi on Gulati’s face post which the latter lost his cool and abused Karishma. The Grand Masti actress made a big issue out of this incident and eventually all the contestants ended up isolating Gautam. This was the first big fight inside the Bigg Boss house this season.

Ali Quli Mirza and Ajaz Khan: Despite being friends at one point, Ali and Ajaz couldn’t stand each other on the controversial reality show. So much so that Khan got evicted from the house for getting physical with Ali. This happened when the duo got into an argument and the Roar actor kept instigating Ajaz to hit him. Surprisingly, the Bigg Boss Halla Bol challenger took Ali’s advice seriously which obviously led to his ousted from the Bigg Boss house.

Dimpy Ganguly and Sambhavna Seth: Even before entering the house, Sambhavna had made it clear that she would make Dimpy’s life hell inside the BB house. Well, she stayed true to her words till the very end. Rahul Mahajan’s estranged wife and Seth got into verbal fights more than once on the show. From throwing her shoe at Dimpy to pushing her and threatening to smash her face, Bigg Boss Halla Bol challenger Sambhavna did it all and that to without any regret. Of all their fights, the one which grabbed everyone’s attention was of course where the shoe was involved. Even Halla Bol host Farah Khan was shocked with the whole episode.

Puneet Issar and Arya Babbar: The oldest contestant inside the Bigg Boss house was asked to leave immediately for assaulting a co-contestant. Yes, we are talking about Puneet who was disqualified for using physical force on Arya while doing the luxury budget task ‘Unchi Hai Building.’ The veteran actor got aggressive during the task and ended up hurting Babbar. After surviving inside the chaotic house for over four months, Gautam Gulati was announced as the winner of Bigg Boss 8 Halla Bol on Saturday (January 31) thereby beating Karishma Tanna and Pritam Singh, who adjudged the first and second runner-up respectively. So obviously, a party was definitely on cards after this humongous victory.

Yes, the former Diya Aur Baati Hum actor had a gala time with his brother Mohit Gulati, fellow contestants Diandra Soares, Puneet Issar, Mahek Chahal and others post his victory. Mohit shared this picture on Twitter with a caption, which read, “Winning ke bad party to banti hai boss (sic).”

Gautam is the fourth male contestant to lift the Bigg Boss trophy. If you ask me, Gautam showed the sigs of winning from the very beginning. Confirmed! Gautam Gulati is the winner of Bigg Boss 8 Halla Bol!

The D-day is here, but you don’t have to wait for the last episode of the high voltage reality show to go on-air tonight as BollywoodLife can confirm that it’s Gautam, who is the last man standing

After surviving inside the Bigg Boss house for over four months, Gautam Gulati has outdone his fellow finalists – Karishma Tanna and Pritam Singh – and emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 8 Halla Bol. Yes, the former Diya Aur Baati Hum actor is the fourth male contestant to lift the Bigg Boss trophy. While Karishma has been declared as the first runner up, Pritam on the other hand was announced the second runner up of Farah Khan’s show.

Bigg Boss offered Rs 25 lakh bag to one of the contestants, if they agreed to walk out of the title race. Pritam Singh took the bag, becoming the second runner up. Bigg Boss Halla Bol: I have asked all my fans to vote for Gautam Gulati, says Ajaz Khan!

While the ex Bigg Boss contestant buried the hatchet with Ali Quli Mirza, he claimed that Gautam has more chances of winning Bigg Boss this year

After an open public brawl with Ali Quli Mirza inside Bigg Boss Halla Bol and his subsequent eviction, Ajaz Khan was back inside the ‘house’ to even out his score with the former. He says they have patched up.

Ajaz was shown entering the show Friday. On being back in the “Bigg Boss” house, Ajaz said: “I didn’t want to. Not after the unceremonious way I was thrown out. But my fans wanted me back very badly. I had to return for their sake.”

Once in, Ajaz did what was uppermost on his mind. ”I confronted Ali, asked him pointblank why he behaved the way he did with me. He admitted his mistake. We hugged and patched up,” he said. Ajaz feels contestant Gautam Gulati has every chance of winning “Bigg Boss Halla Bol”, which will end Saturday.

“Pritam (Singh) and Gautam are both very promising. They’ve a huge fan following and either could win. But Gautam has an edge. I’ve asked all my fans to vote for him,” he said.

The Bigg Boss Halla Bol finalists get a makeover!

Gautam Gulati, Karishma Tanna, Pritam Singh, Dimpy Ganguly and Ali Quli Mirza have made it to the Bigg Boss Halla Bol Grand Finale. To add a fresh twist to the much-anticipated Grand Finale of the season, the makers of the show decided to give each of the finalists a special makeover.

While Gauti gets a sizzling hot under cut, Karishma’s tresses gets red streaks. Pritam gets a gen Y haircut which makes him handsome. Dimpy’s new faux bob hairdo looks gorgeous on her. Ali looks more or less the same in his bald look but he cleans up quite nicely in a shiny suit.

Gauti is certainly the star attraction of the Finale as he will be performing with the Fashion Mujhpe Khatam hottie Malaika Arora Khan. Sonakshi Sinha in a hot dominatrix avatar will enter the house tonight to close Bigg Boss Halla Bol with its finalists.

Bigg Boss Halla Bol’s Grand Finale also marks the beginning of Khatron Ke Khiladi – Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns, the reality show which will take up BB’s current slot.
