Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 is finally over and Ashish Sharma is the perfect candidate to walk away with the trophy, wethinks. The Rangrasiya actor has been working 24/7 to win the trophy and looks like all his hard work has finally paid off.

This would ideally be his choreographer Shampa’s second win on Jhalak; she had bagged the trophy earlier with Baichung Bhutia. Shampa says, I think it has been a very difficult journey for Ashish. He has been handling two shows at the same time. But he came through very well.”

Ashish claims he wants to dedicate his trophy to the audiences. “I never thought I’d win, but it’s the fans who wanted me to win. They’ve been voting consistently for me and I owe it all to them.”

Did you ever think that you would make it? “There was a time when I really wanted to quit the show. My body was no longer supporting me and I was really unwell. But it was my wife who helped me out with everything. I am just glad it’s over now.”

Throughout the season we had guests pouring in to grace the dance reality show, how can the super finale be any different

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 Super Finale is just a day away and the excitement is killing us. All the contestants are back on the stage for one last performance. However, the reason behind our excitement is to watch Remo D’Souza and Madhuri Dixit Nene’s hatke acts.

Madhuri will be performing on Main tenu samjhaawa from the movie Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. Well that’s not all; the dhak dhak girl will actually be doing an aerial act for the first time on the Jhalak stage. We caught a glimpse of the diva in action and were left speechless.


Designer Ken Ferns has designed special costumes for Remo’s act for the Super Finale of JDJ 7. The choreographer-director will be doing three acts. The first one will be a robotic performance, followed by a dance on Slow Motion Angreza from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Shake it Like Shammi from Hassee Toh Phasee.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7′s Akshat Singh: I wish to work with Salman Khan in a film

Small wonder Akshat Singh, the latest to be eliminated from dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, says he wants to focus on his studies now.

“I am not sad that I haven’t been able to make it to the finals but I am happy that I made a lasting impression on the audiences’ minds and won their hearts too. Now, it is the time to get back to my studies,” said Akshat.

The Class IV student, who considers superstar Salman Khan as his idol, also expressed his desire to work with his favourite actor in a film. ”I am very lucky that the show gave me the opportunity to meet with Salman and also dance with him. He even praised me for my performance. I wish that I get a chance to work with him in a film as he often works with children in his movies,” Akshat said.

In the face-off, Akshat was pitted against professional dancer Shakti Mohan. ”Shaktidi is a good performer. In the face-off also, I gave my best performance. I feel good that during my stay on the show, I bagged maximum full marks, dancing shoes and winner of dance marathon. All these achievements make me feel that I am a winner of the show,” said the boy from Kolkata, who is also planning to shift base to Mumbai.

The Colors show is now gearing up for its grand finale, where four contestants including Shakti, Mouni Roy, Karan Tacker and Ashish Sharma will be competing for the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa trophy. They will be judged by Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar.

The crybaby of Jhalak – Mouni Roy will be seen performing on Rishi Kapoor and Simple Kapadia’s popular movie Bobby. The couple will be trapped in an ATM kiosk and dance to Andar se koi baahar na jaa sake. The judges were happy with her performance but not enough to award her full scores.

However, Ashish Sharma and his choreographer Shampa danced on Tadap Tadap from Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Source claim, that the duo gave a very intense performance, so much so that the judges went gaga over it. Shampa introduced some new techniques and interesting lift to up the act. The duo walked away with the performance of the week award.

Karan Johar and Remo D’souza are currently seen judging season 7 of popular dance reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The two have shared a comfortable rapport with each other which is evident with their quirky and goofy stints on the show.

Reports suggest that the two were ready to make their bond professional with a project they were prepared to take on under the Dharma banner. Rumour has it that the duo has parted ways following certain creative differences.

Where some suggest that the project has been put on hold, others state that it has been shelved all together. The primary reason for the fallout is rumoured to be Remo D’souza’s busy schedule. A source close to the choreographer while talking to a popular daily revealed, “Right now, Remo is busy with the reality show. After that he has to start shooting ABCD 2 which is scheduled to happen next month. Once that is out of the way, he will start on Ekta Kapoor’s action film.”

Well the ABCD director is a busy man indeed! We hope the dancing sensation finds time to work with KJO. After all, it would turn out to be a knockout venture, what say peeps?
