KARACHI: A court on Monday dismissed the arms recovery case registered against Joel Cox, a US citizen later revealed to be a FBI agent.
During hearing of the case in Malir Judicial Magistrate Court here, Joel Cox, who was earlier released on bail, appeared in person under stringent security arrangements.
US citizen Joel Cox’s lawyer told the court that his client was on special mission here and he was permitted to keep arms with him.
A special letter of the U.S. embassy was also presented in the court in this regard.
The court ordered for verification of the letter from interior ministry and later on certification from the Sindh home department, the court dismissed the case.
