ISLAMABAD: Local court in Islamabad has ordered to register case against management of Geo Television Network over airing blasphemous program.
The additional session judge Islamabad Raja Jahangir Awan hearing the petition of a citizen, has ordered Margala police to register case against Geo TV network over airing blasphemous program.
The court has ordered to register case against Mir Shakeel ur Rehman, program “Utho Jago Pakistan” host Shaista Lodhi, Veena Malik and Asad Bashir Khatak.
It is pertinent to mention here that protest demonstrations have continued in all over the country over airing insulting program to religious figures on the TV channel.
It is also noted that the channel after attack on Hamir Mir in Karachi on April 19 had aired 8 hours transmission indicting Inter Service Intelligence Chief Lieutenant Gen Zaheer Ul Islam without any evidence which damaged the reputation of national security institutions of the country all over the world.
