Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8 might not just be for adult viewing this time around. Looks like Bigg Boss fans will have to wait a wee bit longer before the next season of this big ticket reality show hosted by the Dabangg Khan of Bollywood will go on air on Colors. The buzz is that the Kick hero will be back on small screen with his much loved reality show on September 20 this year. And we also hear that it will have a new time slot!
A little birdie chirps that Bigg Boss 8 unlike the earlier seasons will go on air in place of Beintehaa and Rangsrasiya between 9pm to 10pm. Preetika Rao and Sanaya Irani’s shows that went on air in the 9 and 9.30pm slots respectively will be postponed to accommodate this voyeuristic reality show.
Reports suggested that Beintehaa and Rangrasiya will be pushed to 10.30 and 11 pm slots and Tina Dutta and Rashmi Desai starrer Uttaran will go off air. But seems like this plan is now changing.
Source revealed to BollywoodLife that Colors is not very keen on Rangrasiya and might axe it altogether instead of changing the time slot as proposed earlier. If our information is correct then Harshad Arora’s show will replace Utttaran, which will be moved to the 11pm late night slot that is currently allocated for the repeat telecast of Balika Vadhu.
Veteran actress Suchitra Pillai who plays a mother in law in Beintehaa has no idea about the possible time slot change . But added that “I expect Colors to bring in Bigg Boss at prime time slot. Our show is also doing well, we have a loyal fan base.”
We sent a text message to the Colors spokesperson, but did not get any response till filing of this story. Producer Saurabh Tiwari on his part maintains that he has not got an official notice to wind up Rangrasiya. Uttaran producer Pintoo Guha also said he had no idea about the time slot change.
