Producer Suryaveer Singh said that the director claiming to have made the film was terminated from his service
I am sure all of us have heard the phrase, any publicity is good publicity. We presume the makers of Tamanchey have taken this phrase rather too seriously. Even before its release, Nikhil Dwivedi and Richa Chadda’s film is amidst a controversy.
While filmmaker Bharat Ratan Bhushan claimed that he has directed the film, producer Suryaveer Singh has an entirely different story to narrate. The producer said that Bharat was initially making the film; however, his lack of knowledge in the craft was affecting the project. Hence, Bharat was replaced with a new director. Singh added, “After three days of shoot, the editor of the film certified that the shot footage was unusable. This caused me a huge financial loss plus my principal crew threatened to leave the film. I was also about to lose my actors and I had to do what was in the best interest of the project at that time. I terminated the services of the said individual legally and as per the contract.”
While the film is slated to release on September 19, wethinks this controversy might just help the makers grab some curious eyeballs.
