According to fans, the Holiday actor is better suited for the role in Hindi remake of Malayalam blockbuster
In an industry ruled by the Khans, it takes lot of hard work and persistence to make it big in Bollywood. And the two actors – Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, have certainly made their mark in the film industry, carving a niche for themselves over the span of two decades. So when the news broke out that, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has bought the remake rights of Malayalam blockbuster, Drishayam and Ajay and Akki are the two stars in contention for the lead role, the fans went berserk rooting for their favourite star to bag the role played by veteran actor Mohanlal.
We pitted the two stalwarts, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar, against each other and asked you fans to vote for the most suitable actor to step into Mohanlal’s shoes. And this is what you guys had to say! According to the fans, the Entertainment actor, not the Singham Returns star, should play the lead role in the remake. Akki bagged 63% of the votes, making him the clear choice to reprise Mohanlal’s character in Bollywood remake, whereas, Ajay garnered some support with 37% of the votes. While the comment wars between Ajay and Akki fans were neck to neck, it was Bollywood’s famous Khiladi who emerged victorious, ruling the hearts of the masses.
While Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures plans to take an action against the Hindi remake of Drishyam, we hope the makers take the fans verdict into consideration while casting for the leading man.
