The Finding Fanny actor opens up about his personal and prefessional on Look Who’s Talking With Niranjan

The Ishaqzaade actor revealed that he started working with Dharma Productions at the age of 16, and initially wanted to become a director. He was one of the assistant directors on Kal Ho Naa Ho.

He may not have worked with Varun Dhawan in a film yet, but it was with the Student Of The Year actor that Arjun performed on the road and did street plays. He played the character of a modern day Yamraj on Carter Road and a nariyal paani walla on Juhu beach. He denied all allegations of a fall out with either his Gunday co-star Ranveer Singh and Varun with whom he gets along famously. “There’s no room for any animosity because there’s plenty of work for all,” he said.

He met Salman Khan on the sets of No Entry and his life changed. Salman asked Arjun to workout with him the next morning at 7 am and he hasn’t looked back ever since.

Arjun did not want to debut in his father Boney Kapoor’s production house because he wanted to prove himself as an actor first.

After his mother’s demise, the actor took up a lot of projects, said yes to most events and appearances because that is the only way he knew how to cope. It’s his sister, Anshula who has been his strength through it all. Even though she is much younger to him, she has looked after him.

His relationship with his father has seen its ups and downs but he has always held his father in the highest regard. He loves and respects him immensely. Arjun shares a cordial relationship with Sridevi and her two daughters. Ultimately, he only wants to see his father happy and is accepting of his other family as well.

The young actor confessed that he is open to the idea of being in a serious relationship. Before he decides to settle down and marry, he’d ideally like to be in a live-in relationship with someone.

Arjun doesn’t have a prototype for the kind of girl he’d eventually like to end up with. Looks aren’t as important to him, as her having a good sense of humour is. “She should be able to engage me in great conversation. Someone who would be okay with me poking fun at her because that’s my way of showing affection. If I care about someone, I always make fun of them,” he revealed.
