Alia Bhatt already has two big projects under her kitty – Vikas Bahl’s Shandaar co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji’s untitled project opposite Ranbir Kapoor. While the young actress is currently shooting for Shandaar, we hear she has landed one more coveted film. Apparently, the Highway actress has been roped in to play the lead in Rock On 2. After Farhan Akhtar- Arjun Rampal starrer turned out to be success in 2008, a sequel was announced but nothing concrete happened thereafter. But now we hear Mahesh Bhatt’s beti has agreed to be part of the sequel which will be helmed by a new director. Yes, Abhishek Kapoor won’t be directing the sequel. Sad na?
Rock On!! which released way back in 2008 was Prachi Desai’s Bollywood debut. The film also starred Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli alongside Farhan and Arjun. As for the sequel, the rest of casting is yet to be finalised.
If Alia Bhatt is indeed doing the sequel of Abhishek Kapoor’s 2008 directorial venture then wethinks the makers should rope in male actors from the young lot who so far haven’t shared screen space Karan Johar’s protege. Then it would even more interesting, no?
