The actor clarifies his statement and wants to set things right with the Humshakals’ director
Saif Ali Khan, who will soon be seen in Happy Ending, faced a lot of criticism when he badmouthed Sajid Khan’s Humshakals. The actor who was playing the lead in the movie had called it a mistake. Of course, filmmakers weren’t happy about it and tagged him unprofessional for disowning his film. Saif has finally opened up about the whole issue.
The actor asserts, “I didn’t disown Humshakals. I played a shining main lead and worked very hard for all the four roles.” We thought it was three role! Khan continues, “ No, there was that female character too. That makes it four. I had a blast working with Sajid, who I love personally. My colleagues tell me that I haven’t promoted any other film with so much heart. But if the film doesn’t run, I feel something is wrong. We have made a wrong kind of movie. That’s all I am saying.”
Sajid Khan was obviously cross with him after the whole fiasco but the actor insists that he wants to sort things out with him. “ I haven’t sorted it out yet. I mean I have sent messages to him, but he hasn’t replied. I am allowed to say that I think we have made a wrong film because I have also worked for it. It’s not that I have insulted his jagir, as such” the Nawab added.
