Kriti Sanon has been finalised to play the leading lady in Chetan Bhagat’s novel Half Girlfriend‘s movie adaptation. The film is being helmed by Mohit Suri and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Production swill be producing it.
Grapevine suggested that initially Alia Bhatt was offered the role but for reasons unknown the 2 States actor refused to be a part of another Chetan Bhagat novel adaptation.
The makers of Half Girlfriend suggested that they needed a young face popular with the urban and young generation to play the leading lady and Kriti seems to be the perfect choice for the same.
The story of Half Girlfriend is about an urban girl Riya and a Bihari lad Madhav. Madhav falls for Riya and wants to make a part of his life, but Riya doesn’t. So they strike an deal and Riya becomes Madhav’s half girlfriend!
With an interesting story-line and an even more interesting cast, this movie is sure one to look out for.
At the book launch that happened recently Chetan Bhagat, Ekta Kapoor, Mohit Suri and Kriti Sanon were present together.
