The actor cleaned up a part of Karjat, where he is shooting for his upcoming film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Salman Khan was among one of the nine people PM Narendra Modi nominated for his Clean India campaign. The actor accepted his invitation and initiated the task on Tuesday (October 21). The Kick actor contributed to the nationwide campaign by transforming a part of Karjat.
The actor even shared pictures of himself with his team cleaning up areas dumped with garbage. In one of the pics, he is also seen painting a house and giving it a new look.
That’s not all. Salman also took the opportunity to inspire and request all his fans on Facebook and followers on Twitter to take part in the Swachh Bharat campaign by nominating each of them.
He nominated Aamir Khan, Azim Premji, Chanda Kochhar, Omar Abdullah, Pradeep Dhoot, Rajat Sharma, Rajinikanth and Vineet Jain to take it forward.
Modi acknowledged Salman’s efforts and tweeted, “The effort by @BeingSalmanKhan is a significant one that will inspire several people to join Swachh Bharat Mission. #MyCleanIndia.”
All said and done, we have seen him act, do towel dance and croon for his films. But watching Salman Khan hold the broom and contribute to PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat initiative’ campaign is definitely the most memorable sights for us and of course for his fans.
