MC Mary Kom wants a sequel to her biopic which starred Priyanka Chopra playing her role.
While the recently released biopic chronicled her journey to becoming a world champion, the boxer feels that she has come a long way since then…She recently became the first Indian woman to win a gold for boxing at the Asian Games. The film fraternity felt proud and many took to the social media to congratulate Mary on her gold win.
The boxer says that the adulation she and her biopic has received from Bollywood is overwhelming.
In an interview after the Asian Games victory MC Mary Kom credited her success to PC and Sanjay Bhansali. She said, “Unfortunately, I could not attend all the promotional activities. Priyanka and Bhansali invited me every time, but I was unable to attend them as I had to focus on my training for this competition. That’s also a reason that I could win. Otherwise, it would have been very hard for me.”
The boxer wants a sequel to her biopic. She wants the second one to have her preparations for the Olympics, and her victories thereafter!
Well, looks like PC will be interested in reprising the role once more.
