Nigaar is the eighth contestant to bid adieu to Bigg Boss 8 and she is glad that she is out of the house of horrors

After a two-week journey, Nigaar Khan was evicted from Bigg Boss 8 this week. Sister of Gauahar Khan, who was the winner of Bigg Boss 7, Nigaar made a grand wild card entry in the Bigg Boss house amidst a lot of expectations from the viewers, but her journey wasn’t as dramatic, entertaining and as successful as Gauahar’s.

We got in touch with Nigaar post her eviction and in a candid conversation, she talked about her short and sweet stint in the high voltage reality show and a lot more. Excerpts.

How would you describe your journey inside the Bigg Boss house?

I learnt a lot of things inside that house. I realised that I have lot of tolerance and patience. The kind of respect and dignity that I went in with, I have come out with even more. In a crowd like that, I didn’t lose that. So yes, it was a short and sweet journey, but if you ask me the experience of staying in that house, honestly it was horrifying.

Why was it horrifying?

See I am a person full of love. If somebody opens up to me and shows their emotion, I will value it. I would never ever laugh. There are many things that were said behind my back in such a short time and they were really in bad taste. Even a little bit of positivity they couldn’t digest.

Considering Gauahar was last season’s winner, a lot of viewers wanted you to win…

Yes, I went in with that baggage and I know people had a lot of expectations and they wanted me to win, but honestly, I am glad that I am out of that house. I feel that Bigg Boss was never meant for me.

So let’s just say if you are given a chance, you wouldn’t go back in there, will you?

Never. As I said, I am a person full of heart and I can’t be in a place where there is so much of negativity. I was offered this show every year, but things were not falling into the place for some reasons. This year they did, and I went in there, but now I realise, I shouldn’t have.

There are many scary things about Bigg Boss, one of them is obviously the betrayal by the people, who act like your friends. Were you betrayed by anybody?

See, none of them were my friends, so there was no chance of betrayal. Yes, I knew some people from outside like Diandra (Soares) and Upen (Patel). And they were good to me. But there were also some people, who said hurtful things behind my back. I never expected Puneet (Issar) to tag my emotions as crocodile tears. I was taken aback when a man of his caliber and age said things like these about me.

Amongst all the contestants, who do you think is really playing the game?

I don’t know who is playing the game, but P3G (Praneet Bhatt, Pritam Singh, Puneet and Gautam Gulati) have shown their true face and it’s not a good one. That gang is constantly bitching about people. Pritam is playing it very safe though. He is a real player.

Who do you want to be the winner of this season?

I don’t know. And honestly, I don’t care.

You seem to be really disappointed with the people inside that house?

This is a very wrong season. I have seen the show before, but this time the people that are in there are very negative. I went in as a wild card contestant and expected them to make me feel comfortable in my initial days, but unfortunately they didn’t. In fact, people started bitching about me from the very next day.

How did Gauahar react to your stint in Bigg Boss 8?

She loved it. She was really proud. She wished that I stayed in there for more time, but I am happy I came out with my self esteem intact.
