Gautam Gulati, who has triggered a craze of sorts with his antics in Bigg Boss 8 is celebrating his 30th birthday in the Bigg Boss house today (November 27). So while the TV actor is busy battling it to win the coveted title, we tell you some lesser known facts about him on the special day.
Darpok – Before making making it big in the television industry, Gautam starred in this short film called Darpok, in which he played the role of a 28-year-old man, living under trauma for not being able to prevent his mother from being raped when he was a child.
Cannes connection – This film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and Gautam was first Indian television actor to walk the red carpet at Cannes for the screening of Darpok.
Buddha – Gautam also played the role of Devadatta in the movie Siddhartha-The Buddha, which was a blockbuster in Sri Lanka.
Shiamak Davar student – Like Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and many others, Gautam was also a student in Shiamak Davar’s Dance Academy before acting in TV shows like Ekta Kapoor’s Kasam Se and Mahabharat and ultimately in Diya Aur Baati Hum.
Favourite food item- Like many, Gautam loves Rajma Chawal. So if you see him hogging on some this famous North Indian staple inside that house, you know it is his favourite!
